Coleman is one of the bigger makers of air pumps, and this air mattress pump is a higher-quality brand. It's compatible with more valves than some of their other products - Coleman valves, Boston valves, pinch valves, and double-lock and quick valves. But like other Coleman air pumps, it doesn't work with needle-valves. It's battery operated, and it's got a rechargeable plug-in transformer to power it using 6V lead acid rechargeable batteries. It both inflates and deflates, and does so very rapidly, so not much waiting with this. The one minus that some people have complained about is that it's very noisy - not really a problem unless you forget and wait until nighttime to fill up an air bed. If you're on a campground, that could cause problems with the neighbors. Otherwise, it's pretty much top of the line - if you want a good, quality air pump that is versatile and can be used for most products, this is it. |
